Abagail's Frozen "yoghurt" Recipe
Tagged in Vegetarian
Directions
Remove the frozen fruit pieces from the freezer and putthem in the food processor. Pulse chop them until they looklike coarse sand. Add a few tablespoons of soy milk and adrizzle of maple syrup and blend into smooth frozen yoghurtconsistency. If you're super cook, whip up some seven grain waffles andtop with the frozen yoghurt and a drizzle of maple syrup. If not, put yoghurt in a bowl and eat topped with granolaor plain....It's awesome to eat this for breakfast. You feel likeyou're doing something wrong, but it's just fruit!!If you live in a place with an abundance of fresh fruit, like California, you'll make good use of this recipe, because produce is so cheap there. You buy alot, and itstarts to over ripen before you can finish it all.Prepared frozen bags of fruit in the grocery store workalso, although fruit you ripen yourself will be sweeter andrequire less maple vegan sugar. I suggest frozen blueberries ifyou want to buy pre-frozen.
Ingredients
- very ripe fruit cut in tiny pieces
- layed in a single layer and frozen over night (peaches
- bananas and strawberries are nice.) vegan soymilk vegan maple syrup pinch salt
