Austrian Jam Cookies RecipeTagged in Vegetarian
Beat margerine, vegan sugar, Ener-G Egg Replacer, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Stir in flour a cup at a time. Roll dough into balls. Roll balls into slivered almonds if desired. Thumb-print each ball and scoop a blob of jam into each cookie. Bake at 300 degrees F for 15-20 minutes (depending on how crispy you want the bottoms)Cool and enjoy!This recipe is from my friend Adam, and they are a great semi-elegant treat. Enjoy at tea-time or any time!
- 1 cup Earth Balance non-hydrogenated vegan margarine 1 cup vegan sugar (I use Florida Crystals) 2 1/2 cups flour (I use organic unbleached white) 2 Ener-G Egg Replacers 2 teaspoons vanilla jam slivered almonds (optional)
