Baked French Toast With Nut Topping Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 loaf whole grain-nut bread
- 8 lg. eggs
- 2 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. applesauce
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. mace
- 1/2-1 tsp. cinnamon
- Heavily butter a 9 x 13 inch pan. Cube bread and place in pan. Mix other ingredients and pour over. Refrigerate overnight. 1 c. butter
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. corn syrup
- 1-2 c. nuts
