Bishojo Burger Recipe
Tagged in Vegetarian
Directions
The thing that makes this sandwich so good is the way you make the veggie burger. Whatever kind you use, try to grill, broil or use a convection or toaster iron. I guess George Foreman isn't totally useless. Wash and slice the veggies while it cooks. Just assemble the sandwich however you want, although I suggest putting the sprouts underneath stuff or they'll fall all over the place. My L-O friend adds Horizons organic vegan cheese to hers, or feta, so it doesn't *have* to be vegan. (Bishojo in Japanese/Romanji means "beautiful girls" - referring to the fact that my roommate and I always eat these after the gym) Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 sliced tomato handful sliced mushrooms handful sprouts 1/2 sliced haas avocado handful romaine lettuce 1 or 2 vegan black bean burgers 2-4 slices whole wheat or pumpernickel vegan bread dressing
- if desired (hummus works)
