Directions
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes.
Ingredients
- Pour 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Over 1 cup chopped dates. Add and let cool 1 teaspoon soda. 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- Add cooled date mixture. 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. soda
- Combine with above and mix well. 1 pkg. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. nut meats
