Hamburger Steaks W/ Mustard Sauce RecipeTagged in Meats
Shape ground beef into 4 patties. Cook patties in a large skillet over medium heat 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness; drain. Saut� vegetables in butter or margarine until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in consomm� and mustard; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Place hamburger patties on French bread; serve with mustard sauce.
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tbs finely chopped onion
- 2 tbs finely chopped green pepper
- 2 tbs butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tbs undiluted consomm�
- 1/4 cup prepared mustard
- 4 slices (1/2-inch-thick) slices French bread
