3 Eggs
1 cup Half and half
1/4 tbsp Ground nutmeg
1/2 tbsp Salt
1/8 tbsp Pepper
Few grains cayenne pepper
1/2 lbs Cooked ham, cut into thin
-strips
2 cup Shredded Swiss cheese
1 Baked 9-inch pastry shell
-(in a heat-resistant
-non-metallic pie pan)
Directions
In a medium-sized bowl beat eggs, cream, nutmeg, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper until well mixed.
Stir in ham and cheese.
Pour mixture into baked pastry shell.
Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 5 minutes.
Move cooked edges toward center and heat an additional 12 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Let stand at room temperature 3 to 4 minutes to finish cooking
